Finally, this issue is being understood as more than simply an accounting skills problem: it’s a systemic problem affecting nonprofit service quality, sustainability, nonprofit compensation, and services to communities. And with the OMB (Office of Management and Budget) Uniform Guidance, there’s a new tool to use as well.

Negotiating a Federal Indirect Cost Rate: Step by Step Guide to Preparing Your Indirect Cost Rate Proposal (Thursday, June 15th at 11am-1pm PT) - The third session is the most technical: how to negotiate a federal indirect cost rate.

Presenter Kay Sohl is a star — she is deeply immersed in the accounting and policy aspects of overhead recovery, and has worked with hundreds of nonprofits and government agencies on the subject. And she understands the real-life aspects of it all; she doesn’t simply repeat the academic principles or rules.
